STUDENT OF THE MONTH

Our very own Maree who has worked in finance for the last 10 years and is studying the Certificate IV in Financial Services (Bookkeeping).

Maree is finding the training "easier than I thought" and finds that she has acquired more knowledge and has applied this to her role here and the Gympie Conference Centre as Finance Officer.

She can you see it leading her to becoming a qualified BAS Service Provider and having her own home-based business.

Maree finds her trainer great. "Karen is flexible with delivering the training. She has taught me at my house, at work and in classes on a Saturday at MCO. She is always contactable, either by phone or email and she is a great teacher. The contact time is just enough for me or I would get information overload. And the support from Karen is good as I can ring or email her for help if I need it."

She finds the course material  very managable, to her surprise, after not studying for over 25 years. " I was a bit apprehensive but I have found the material easy to understand and to complete. If I have any trouble, Karen is always there to explain the content to me so I can understand." I would like to do my Diploma after completing this course.
 

Maree finds balancing study with her workload and home/social life is "very hectic but I am managing and I am still sane (barely)". And we can say she still has her sense of humour.
